101 uses for Chicken gone bad...
#1
OK ladies and gentlemen,

The other day I took a frozen pack of chicken strips out of my chest freezer for consumption. I put it on top of the freezer and promptly forgot it was there.. A couple days later, my daughter went down to get some frozen pizza and noticed it. So, chicken has gone bad. My wife wanted to throw it away, but I'm thinking that I could probably figure out something to do with that chicken that is related to fishing. We marked it as BAD and put it back in the freezer.

Anyway, I have a challenge for the UTAH FISHING FORUM.. Let's see if we can collectively come up with 101 uses for 'Chicken Gone Bad'...

Be as detailed as you want, or as skimpy on detail as you want. Feel free to comment on other people's suggestions as to their validity or likelihood for success.

I'll start this thing off with a couple suggestions of my own:

I found this video:

1. Cut into small pieces and put in a minnow trap to attract minnows.
2. Cut into not so small pieces and put in a crawdad trap to attract crawdads.
3. Let sit in the sun for a couple days to ripen and use as Catfish Bait.
4. Cut into strips and add some minced garlic. Stir into chicken and let it absorb the garlic overnight in the fridge. Put it on a hook and see what you can catch.
5. (Nope, you can't CHUM with this. It's illegal)

Ok, that's 5 from me. Hopefully, this isn't too far off topic. At least it should be entertaining and informative.

Thanks in advance for your contributions !!!

Good tips, but chumming in any way, shape or form is illegal in Utah except on Lake Powell where you may chum with legal baits or dead stripers. I like the garlic chicken idea though.

Try using it for crawdad bait. Wouldn't worry about cutting it up much though.

I hate the idea of "letting it ripen" and using it for catfish cause that is a new special kind of stink. Think I would blow chunks while baiting the hook. Course maybe that wouldn't be so bad either, that's the only chumming allowed in Utah I think.

[#0000FF]Next time some unwanted guests (or relatives) show up, get out the chicken and make some hot and spicy wings for them. When they complain about the "results", blame it on some bad sauce. Don't eat any yourself..."on doctor's orders".

Make some chicken liver chum bait . Blend one tub of chicken liver. With 2 cans of sardines. Cut chicken into small chunks . And marinate at least over night . Caught some huge cats on that.

Yeah no blues here. But that fish and many more have been caught on the chicken liver chum bait. I have done well on it. For flat heads channels and blues. Have caught alot of channels . Done well at Cutler Willard and Utah lake. Keeping it cool is the key. Once it gets warm it turns into a big mess.
