More Lincoln stuff
#1
Don't want to over-do the Lincoln reports but.... This morning was perfect for fishing. There was no wind and the overcast sky made it very comfortable for fishin'.

I split my crew up and had some of them on the shore and a couple in the boat. We all caught cats and a few wb. I believer you could catch 24-26 in. cats all day and do it about as fast as you could bait and cast lines. Most of the cats look like they have been brawling and thrashing in the rocks. We kept four of then in the live well for a photo session and then released them.

The water situation is dire. Every day I go out there is a visible drop in the water level. Several places in the channel the water level on my sonar was showing less than one foot. Water this low and we are just beginning the heavy irrigation demand season?? Bird Island is bigger than I have ever seen it. Maybe the island won't be an island by Sept. Sad and depressing.

That being said,

I have to get my toon down there and in the water. Had a friend of mine trick my toon out over the winter it's high time I do my part in exercising some of those cats down at the pond.

Big D -- You would be in heaven if you were out in your toon. Those cats would give you a good ride. Be sure to bring a big anchor and a good supply of carp, wb, or whatever.

Give a shout when you get down this way and I'll watch for ya.
