Complete Solitude on the 4th
#1
I think i found my new favorite spot st spent the 4th in the future. We went up to the Unitas with my 3 boys ages 7-2. While looking at google I had found a few lakes that did not appear to have a trail going to them and thought that they may hold a little extra solitude. We picked one and headed for it. There was defiantly not a trail but at only .75 miles from the road we made it there quickly. The fishing was decent but the best part was that we didn't see another person until we got back to the road. Solitude on the 4th is hard to come by these days[Smile]

That sounds so nice, I found where all the people were. Guess I shouldn't complain I knew what I was getting into, but I like your weekend idea much better. Glad it worked out for ya and thanks for the report. Later J

Per board rules one cannot ask the OP where the body of water was if he does not divulge it.

I would be happy to share. You go up the mirror lake highway 5 to 25 miles from Kamas and turn onto that one dirt road, you know the one that I am talking about, and drive until you go over a small stream. That stream is the outlet to the lake. If you follow it for a bit you will run right into the lake. You know, the one surrounded by pines up against the steep slope of the mountain. I am sure you would be able to find it. Beautiful Spot[bobhappy]

Sorry Jiggy, I couldn't help myself. I think I am going to hang onto this one. I shared my last 4th of July hideaway and now it is Like going to Pineview on the weekend. While I have little kids I think I better keep these close spots a secret[Wink]

I have complete solitude every 4th, I stay home and relax in my own back yard. Don't have to deal with anyone but my Grand kids and the dummy dog, Snoopy the Beagle !! I even get to watch the fire works from my own yard now as they are doing them at Discovery Park !! No crowds, no hassles, other than having Snoopy sing at the fireworks !!

Cool, I went to the Berry the day of when everyone was leaving. Cuts and bows were non existent besides a chub who took my zebra midge.

It was HUGE for a chub by the way, so I bashed his ass with a rock and cut him up for bait.[fishon]
