[blue]Mike Desaulnier of Lockhart was in Port Aransas to fish and spent Monday night fishing up and down the north jetty. He caught 10 nice-sized speckled trout and a big redfish, using mirror lures for bait. To reach the north jetty, he took the boat from Woody’s[/blue]. [/black][#0000ff]Anglers are catching variety of fish on both bay and offshore trips when the weather allows them to go out.
Offshore Adventures said the nine- and 12-hour trips have resulted in nice catches of amberjack and good-sized lane and vermilion snapper.
"The kingfish are still hitting pretty good" . They also are catching lots of shark and triggerfish.
The trips to state waters are returning with red snapper, redfish and black drum.
Anglers going out of Dolphin Dock have come back to the dock with kingfish, shark and vermilion snapper.
" Dolphin Dock is starting to see more amberjack and grouper too" .
"Once again we were dealing with the weather," said Deep Sea Headquarters.
On a trip to state waters anglers caught limits of red snapper and some "really nice" redfish.
The offshore trips produced kingfish, shark and vermilion snapper.
Woody’s Sports Center said anglers have seen some good fishing on the north jetty this week. They’ve been catching limits of sheepshead, speckled trout and even some redfish, using dead shrimp and artificials for bait.
South jetty anglers have caught sheepshead and black drum.
The bay guides are returning with mostly speckled trout and a few redfish.

[/red][red]She is working on the pier so stop by and say hi when you get a chance.[/red] [#0000ff]Mornings are very slow but afternoons fisherman are catching some pompano. One couple caught about 8 medium sized pompano using ghost shrimp under the pier. They also reported that they caught some undersized reds & black drum! Our water temp. is at 57 right now and the water is green & pretty. So if the weather holds out for a few days fishing should improve even more. Over all the whiting have been the catch along with a few pompano. [/#0000ff]
