Not skunked at deer creek (barely)
#1
I can't seem to figure out dwet creek ever since Charleston dtied up. The lower water levels aren't helping me catch any fish. Went up there Thursday morning and trolled some pop gear and a worm. Nothing. Threw senkos and chiggers and jis for bass along the island, nothing. Bottom bounced for walleye for a while and nothing. Decided to call it a day around 12 and almost back to the state park caugh a planter rainbow on my bottom bouncer as well as a tiny bass on my pop gear and a worm. Not much going on thete. For me anyways

I fish for bass early up at DC occasionally and this has been the best year for bass since I started hitting it hard three years ago... both for numbers and particularly size.

Topwater early is the ticket. The two hours between just light enough to fish and just after sun-up have been magical for me this year.
