Got on the ice this morning with skunkedagain, always nice to meet BFT members. As he reported in his post, it was rather slow but we found some fish. I really like getting after bluegill and landed a few right off the bottom, they would come racing up for my jig as I pulled it off the bottom. A lot of false charges though, not sure if it was presentation or just missed bites?? Anyways, I'll figure that out as the season goes. Nice to be on the ice!

Jeez, what'd you find in that bluegill's stomach, a quarter pounder with cheese, fries, coke and three apple pies? The thing's a chunker.

It was a fun start to this year, thanks for the company and help getting my tank on the ice. It's a little too wide for those tighter spots. And that gill of yours does seem bigger than mine, it was sure a pretty fish. Thanks for the report as well. Later J
