any fishable ice at strawberry?

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone had a current update on ice at strawberry? I am chomping at the bit to get out on the ice!

Hey Bowhunter...great question and one I would love answered as well. I have learned that early ice reports are all but nonexistent. My guess is that some areas (Mud Creek, parts of Soldier Creek, etc) are already being fished thru the ice. I'm sure the main lake body isn't frozen yet but that should happen any day with these temps. Those that are on the ice are enjoying the peacefulness prior to "tent city" when ice reports hit this website. I may take a drive up there this week to do some re-con. If I do I will let you know what I find.

The berry was pretty much wide open yesterday but was -15 up there. This morning they reported the lake capped on their facebook page with pictures. The shallow areas should be rdy by this weekend or next

Strawberry marina capped last night so it shouldn't be long
