Slushy goodness
#1
Well it was a great Christmas weekend, not to mention the Broncos lost and helped the Dolphins secure a playoff spot[cool]

Anyways, made it to the slush monster today with a friend. He got the trifecta with trout, perch and bluegill. Found some really active perch, lots of 5-7 inches but did find one bruiser that tops my best for the year. Also beat my personal best bluegill this morning too. I found that natural colors worked really well. Dark green and brown jigs. I'd drop to the bottom and if they were not racing up to meet the jig I'd put it on the bottom and slowly raise my rod tip while jogging. The perch seemed to follow after that. Lots of people out!

Looks like you had a lot of fun. I have never caught a perch but I want to this year.

Well done. Wanted to get out there today but other obligations kept me away. Nice job on the big gill. I caught a few over 9" there this year so far.

Thanks, he was a good one! Wish I had a tape to put to it but just from what could tell he was close to 9.75. Hope you can make it out soon!

Hahaha I'm not even going to edit that out. Didn't you know jogging around the hole helps? It's trolling in 8 inch circles.

Please read the rules on this board at this link:
http://www.bigfishtackle.com/cgi-bin/gfo...20;#369092

You are not allowed to ask for the location where a member was fishing, this rule is called hot spotting, here is a copy of that rule:
HOT SPOTTING:
When a poster of a new thread does not wish to ID a certain body of water, NO MEMBER will reply giving the name of that body of water or asking where that body of water is located. In the same regard, if a member wants to post all the details on a spot they fished....they can do so without being harassed for hot spotting as long as the fish were caught in a legal manner and no laws were broken.

If someone chooses to ignore this rule and post the name anyway or harasses a member for making the post, their post will be edited with a PM sent warning them that what they did is not allowed. If that member chooses to ignore the warning, then it will be grounds for banning that member.
