Lost gear strawberry
#1
I lost some gear today 12/31 at strawberry. I was by the marina and all around it. I'm hoping someone picked it up and is keeping it safe for me. It's a blue clam tackle kit with a lot of jigs and plastics inside. If someone found it I would love to get it back otherwise I'm probably not going to be able to get back out ice fishing this year since that was pretty much all the tackle I had. I might be able to find some loose change in the coach for ya too if I get it back my wife says we could possibly throw in some movie tickets also. I can pretty much describe everything that was in it if you need me to. I have a kid on the way so buying all the gear I had is probably not going to happen for a while. Thanks in advance.

On another note fishing was pretty bad. We had three bite the whole time we were there, only one were we able to set the hook in. It released itself before it came up enough for us to land him. We fished from about 7:00 till 1:00 all around the marina in anywhere from 3' to 45'. Most of the hits were in about 20'-30'. Really nothing seen on the flasher other then the three that hit our jigs. We used everything from green paddle bugs, ratfinkies, shrimpo's to tube jigs and all forms of worms. The hits came one the paddle bugs and tube jigs. Nothing else really working. From others we talked to had about the same experience.

Someone named Will Matthews on Facebook's Utah Anglers Report said someone lost some stuff at Strawberry today. Sorry about your fishing

Here's the link. He didn't say what it was but probably worth asking him. https://www.facebook.com/will.matthews.31?fref=nf

Sorry to hear about your lost gear. Did you by chance call the marina? I know this doesn't help now but I like to put those little address stickers, that they are always sending in the mail, on my poles. Started doing that some years back when I fished the Gorge more, its the rules there if you fish with more than two poles. Hope some one finds your gear and gets it back to you.

Thank you fishing lunatic for that information that you gave me. I was able to get ahold of Will and have set up a time to get my gear back. I would not have been able to find that information without your help. Thank you.

Wiper hunter2 I will defiantly take your advise and get my information on my gear. I am usually very careful to keep track of all my gear and have not even thought about putting my info on it. But it definitely makes sense to have it on them. It would have made this much easier to resolve. Thank you

Will is a great guy. It's a good thing. When you see this giant of a man you'll see my point! Tell him Dave Johnson says howdy.

I always put name and phone # on bottom of tackle box, vests, ect. Never had anything stolen. I'm always afraid of my setting it down and forgetting it or blown out or ????? I'm in the hopes an honest guy finds it and gives a call.
A box with 20 or so rapalas or lucky crafts is quite a large bill.
