There is a reason there isn't much in the way of 1 wt.[Wink] Glad it worked out. I never understood people saying full sink line is harder to cast. It is much thinner! Let us know on the Intermediate.

Yes that was the one off ebay. Fishing wasn't particularly fast midday but yes it caught fish. Sometimes with a teenager just leaving before noon is an accomplishment.

I took the 1 and 2 wt rods to the lake with both lines. But you know how it goes only tried out the 2 wt line on the 1 wt rod. If I can cast it fine on a 5'8" rod I'm thinking there won't be any problem with the 7' rod at all. When I read reviews on the intermediate line the bigger complaints with the lower weights was it didn't sink. I'll see how it goes when I get a chance.
