Just a word of caution, you dont know what the URL is pointed to. Use extreme caution and know your source.

Any boso with a a bit of computer knowledge can redirect an url. One example is to redirect the landing page to another site happens all the time dosent mean you have a virus. What paranoid universe do you live in ???
Name one virus that you dont have to execute before your system gets infected ??? There's a difference between spyware, malware & VIRUS's.
Tiny URL has full control of were the url is being redirected what do you think they just put some random url in LOL the links are created from tinylink alias composed of six alpha or numeric characters attached to the TinyURL domain name. The tiny url generator coverts the links to alias thus giving you a shorter url.
Do some research before you post if you knew anything about about the subject you would know the Twitter has invested 2 million dollars into shorting urls, Mozilla has plugin's for it and Google is in the process of developing there DNS system that shortens urls.
Yes I'll give you the fact that its not full proof but if you know anything about hacking you would know there is a much simpler way of redirecting people to bogus sites.
