[#008000]Taking stock of my fly collection before hitting the water, I've come to realize that I have several hundred flies stored in all sorts of containers. it is not that I will ever use that many for it is just that I like tying flies. FG no doubt probably has a few thousand on hand. Do you tie more flies than you need?[/#008000]

I always bring more than I can use...:-)... not always by choice.. just by habit... plus I am usually only on the water for a few hours... not on long trips of several days.. but on those occassions I usually have 3 or four boxes of different flies with me and usually end up with one or two that work that day.. :-)

[#008000]Just got back from the Eastern Sierras @Bishop. Fished the Weir and Bishop Creek system. Had tons of flies with me but only used one pattern and that was a Griffith Gnat. It caught fish so I didn't bother to change what worked. Also packed 3 rods but only used my two wt. [Image: angry.gif]Was rather upset as to the path of destruction left by the spinners. Counted 6 dead fish in one area. Guess that they never heard of reviving their catch before releasing. No you don't throw them back towards the middle of the stream.[Image: bobmad.gif][/#008000]
