Welcome to BFT! Glad to see your fired up about fishing. Lake Mead is no comparison to saltwater fishing, but it is what we have and can be challenging. Jigging is the ticket now. Yesterday proved to be an excellent jig bite off Sand Island, on the Las Vegas Bay side, with fish from 3-5 pounds. Everyone scored.

Topwater is still happening in the mornings and evenings. Small boils occurred yesterday near Gov't Wash. Look for the birds to give them away. Most of the fish caught on topwater are small, from 1-2 pounds.

Carp? Sorry, I've never played that game.
