Flyguy66,
My son and I fished there by the dam around December 1st. We only caught three fish, but one was near four pounds. White 1/2-3/4 glow jigs tipped with crawler worked the best, fishing off the bottom in fifteen to five feet of water. I would set up in the pre-dawn with a lantern. It seems I always have a few strikes at first light, and then maybe a strike every 1.5 hours after that. I hear Lakeside can be good this time of year, but have not tried it. Island Park is usually a first ice place for me, so I am not to familar with its fishing posibilities as winter establishes itself; I will appreciate any feedback on your trip to help me consider if it is worth a second trip up.
Good Luck,
Ovid Creek
