[cool][#0000ff]TubeBabe and I drove almost to the land of Goshen...well, the water of Goshen anyway. Found a spot beyond the last of the No Trespassing signs and launched our tubes. Launch time about 7 AM. Water temp 64 and only slightly murky. Cleared up somewhat with calmer weather the past day or so. Actually turned green by midday.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Couldn't find anything shallow. No whities, no kitties. Worked down the shoreline and found an area with some white bass in fairly shallow. Smacked about a dozen and then worked back out into deeper water to try to find something bigger. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Found some feisty kitties that wanted to play, but they were clear out in 7 feet of water. TubeBabe had been sticking to shallower water and had only one small cat before I convinced her to work out into deeper water. Then she got with the program. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]We both got quite a few cats...from 15" to 24". We kept a few small ones for the grill and a few mid sized ones for the smoker. We each released some bigger fish. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Everybody loves it when TubeBabe takes top rod honors. Well, since she got skunked on her last trip and has not been able to go fishing much the last 30 days, I cut her some slack. I let her catch one more catfish than me and her big daddy cat was an inch longer than my biggest mama cat. Yeah, TubeBabe.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]But, she didn't get any white bass. I also got a couple of mudcats and she didn't get any. Of course that could even be a penalty situation.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Lots of black ibis flying over today. Got a couple of pics. No boat traffic and hardly any traffic on the lakeside highway. Very quite for a day before the holiday weekend.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Water temp was bouncing off the underside of 70 degrees when we came in just after 1. Water was clean and green. But, the north wind was building as were the clouds. Might mess things up again.[/#0000ff]
