Southern California Saltwater Report 7/2-8
#7

Hi there guys,

Southern California Saltwater

Report on July 6, 2003 (Sunday)

Way Up North- Avila
Good Salmon and Rockfishing for all

Up North- Channel Islands
Rockfishing doing good, few WSB but 200 barracuda count!!!

LA Area- Catalina Island
Dreamer, Legacy and Phantom did well. Calico bass still good for those that make the effort. YT sparce for the sporties!!

Further South
Fishing is good! I just don't know who and how many.

San Diego- Coronado and Local
Albies on multi-day trips good! Average fish per rod on local trips vary with the top being 10 fish per rod with a mixed bag.

LA Local
Average fish per rod was not that great varying from 1 to 4 or 5 excepting the landings down Dana's Wharf and Newport beach which did much better. I'd say the bass bite was down south today.
