How to know what type of motor?

When you say "pee hole" is that when a small stream of water is puched out the back of the unit downward? since I have not used this motor yet on the water, is there another way to tell? I was thinking if it is water cooled i would want to check out my impellar(??) before i get out there and have a over heating issue. Is it those parts that pump/push water up through the unit?
