Ambassadeur XLT 1 magnetic brake question.

First, I should add that my reel is Ambaseur XLT 1 Syncro.

I had looked at the manuals on Abu Garcia and found them for apparently newer reels only. They do have the schematic for my reel but, it doesn't say which way to turn the dial.
