My drier for years was a plain old Cabela's that turns at 6 RPM. It works fine for me.Some builders like faster, like up to around 60 RPM. [shocked] I get a visual of finish flying all over the walls at that speed! But they say it works...
The drier on my PacBay Rodsmith turns about the same speed, 6 RPM or thereabouts.
Wrapping motors are usually a sewing machine motor with foot pedal for speed control. Not sure of exact RPM, but they'll generally max out WAY faster than anyone can guide thread. [cool]
